Quilts Given From the Heart

Quilts Given From the Heart

Quilts Given From the Heart is a collection of three different little poems about quilts and quilters.  Quilts are unique, personal, and made with a bit of the quilter in each one of them.  I ran across these poems in a folder with several other sayings and quotes from various newsletters.  The authors are unknown.

Love is a quilt

Love is a quilt – a quilt is love . . .

Both love and a quilt should be:

Soft enough to comfort you,

Bright enough to cheer you,

Generous enough to enfold you,

Light enough to let you move freely,

Strong enough to withstand adversity,

Durable enough to last a lifetime,

And given gladly, from the heart.

Families and Quilts

Families are like a quilt,

With lives pieced together,

Stitched with smiles and tears,

Colored with memories and bound with love.

Until next time . . . keep those machines buzzing or plan for the next quilt,
