1st New Kind of Adventure
It is a great adventure and experience to go camping again, and this time in a RV travel trailer. My brother found this jewel earlier this year. It is roomy and decked with all the amenities of life, including bathroom with shower. We spent a bit of time getting it ready for a new kind of adventure. So, our first place to visit was the Great Salt Plains State Park, Jet, OK on the river. Some friends of my brother, who are avid RVer’s, went along with us. It was so much fun. Learning to live and enjoy the moment is something I am experiencing. Resting, relaxing, and enjoying the great outdoors with modern conveniences! It doesn’t get better than that!
2nd New Kind of Adventure
The next month we went to Roman Nose State Park. We were able to book a site not too far from the Watonga Lake. It was a beautiful view. My brother, the early riser, enjoyed the sun rising over the lake. I enjoyed the sunsets in the evenings. The water was tranquil and soothing. Just what the soul and spirit needs to refresh. I enjoy seeing God’s handiwork in nature.
His lab really like the lake and areas of water found when walking along the trails or around the lake. On a mid morning, we decided to walk along one of the many trails. Across the lake from our campsite, we saw a much taller ledge where a group of people was walking and looking out at the lake. What a fun place to find, we discussed. On the way up there, my cell phone kept dinging as messages were coming in. It was one place my cell phone was receiving reception. We did find the overlook of the lake, the view was grand and worth the extra time to walk. Except the lab was pretty exhausted and so were we. We walked back down while resting half way. But what a fun walk!
Here is another area we found. Around this place, we saw many sea shells. It is an interesting place to find sea shells, however, I kept a couple of them and added them to my collection. You can read about my collection, Seashells in a Jar here.
Overall, we have enjoyed the last couple of outings! Good food, fellowship, peace and rest.
Stay tuned for the next adventure,
Dawn
