Start Believing and Refuse the Lies
We are continuing in a series of 80 Days of Encouragement Day 3. I hope you are enjoying the last couple of days so far. You can read Day 1 and Day 2 if today is the first day of reading. As stated previously, the goal is to start believing who we are in Christ and refuse the lies. Start believing begins with taking our thoughts captive and insisting they agree with who God says He is. Remember, we can because we have the power of Holy Spirit living in us. He leads and guides and reminds us who we are. It is His work. Our part is to receive.
Letting Go
Early this morning when beginning to awake, I heard ABBA say to let go. Let go of what? Let go of all that is keeping you from believing. Release the expectations of how your life is suppose to be and look. Do not be concerned with how others see your life. You will live your life differently and it is ok. Let go of the past. In fact, do not look to far into the future and try to figure it out. Just stay in the moment. You only have today. Do the next right thing for now and today. Let me be concerned about how it is to work, and what things you will do. Also, keep moving forward. Enjoy the journey. Expect surprises and adventures. Keep looking for me everyday.
Standing during 80 Days of Encouragement Day 3
Because Jesus empowers each one of us, “we are armed with dynamic weaponry” according to 2 Corinthians 10:6. We have the ability to war against the thoughts and lies not lining up with His Words. This is important, but so is the next words, “we stand ready”. This reminds me of the Israelites as they were crossing over the Red Sea with Moses. We find the story in Exodus 14. God tells Moses to lift up his rod, stretch out his arm over the Red Sea and divide it. The ground becomes dry so the Israelites can walk across.
Before God tells Moses what to do, the Israelites are grumbling to Moses. Let’s read verses 13-14 to hear Moses’ response, “13 And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation[b] of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. 14 The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold[c] your peace.” As the Israelites continued to walk into and across the Red Sea it remained dry ground until the last of them. They were safe and saved from the Egyptians. Sometimes, we may need to stand firm against our own thoughts.
Remember we can demolish and break through because we have the power. He will lead and guide us. He will help us let go of what isn’t needed and add those that are. Keep walking forward and carrying a lighter load.
Until tomorrow, keep letting go and standing firm,
Dawn
